The 1948 London Motor Show big for Jaguar that year. They had laundched their new sallon, the MK V and their new roadster, the XK120. Although the XK120 will be histories favorite car, that wasn't the case at first. The Jaguar MK V had outsold the XK120 three to one throughout its production time. Althought the MK V continued to use engines from the older SS models. This meant that the performance was less than stellar. Despite the outdated engine, Jaguar managed to get double wishbone suspension and hyrdraulic brakes into the car. This setup would be used on many Jaguars in the coming years.
