1954 Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster: The 155th Speedster Produced
This fantastic original Pre-A Speedster is the 155th Speedster produced. This is indeed a very early car and an incredibly rare and desirable find. Delivered new in white with a black leatherette interior, it currently wears red paint and has been fitted with a 1956 model-year 1600cc Speedster engine which was further enlarged to approximately 1750cc. The engine was also fitted with high compression pistons, new valves, valve guides, and a three-piece crankshaft for extra performance. The car has been with the same owner for the last 27 years. While under his care, he had a full cosmetic restoration of the bodywork performed by specialist Kim Schultz during the early 2000s. It also benefits from a new soft-top. Offered just out of long-term private ownership, it comes with the Porsche-issued Certificate of Authenticity as well as restoration photos. An excellent opportunity to own a highly collectible early Pre-A Speedster.
