1967 Triumph TR4A IRS

This 1967 Triumph TR4A IRS Roadster is a very presentable original driver out of long-term ownership. Red with black interior. A desirable independent rear suspension model that runs and drives but would benefit from a tune-up and some minor cosmetics. Triumph presented the new IRS (Independent rear suspension) model in 1965 in order to make the ride more comfortable. The IRS, which is also referred to as the TR4A, had a new semi-trailing arm system with coil springs and lever-arm shocks; in order to fit this new system the chassis had to be redesigned, resulting in a slightly wider and heavier car, with a few notable visual differences such as a new grill and a distinctive chrome strip running most of the length of the car. Today, the TR4A represents an excellent value in the classic car market as well as a fun car for any British sports car enthusiast.
