The Torchbearer of Traditional Ferrari V-12 Power to the Modern Era

An ideally practical Ferrari grand tourer, 18715 was completed on September 24, 1975, delivered to official dealer Autoterminal and sold new to a Mr. Villa. A Parise of Vicenza, Italy decal preserved on the rear windscreen, indicates they either sold or serviced the GT4 early on. This home market 365 appears to have later made its way into German residency sometime in the early-mid 1980's, suggested by a supplemental VIN tag, 1984 dated German seatbelts and period (unused) first aid kit. And eventually, the GT4 traveled across the pond and has seen Massachusetts residency for at least the last two decades under the care of one owner. The car has remained thoughtfully preserved, yet never restored.

In years past, an exterior repaint in correct Blu Ribot (2.443.631) was commissioned, while the cabin displays factory installed Beige (VM 3234) leather upholstery. All interior electronics appear to be in working order, including the clock, Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, windows and A/C fan speeds. All glass shows original etchings, along with the front windshield recommended tire pressures decal for the Michelin XWXs on the Chromodora 7.5x15inch wheels. 18715's undercarriage is remarkably solid, well-presented, uniform in fit/finish and presents factory original spotwelds and sheet metal. Both engine and luggage compartments are tidy, noting both bonnet pads have been removed and do accompany the sale, along with several other small original parts. The rear also contains its correct jack, wrench and lug nut socket in roll, along with a European emergency triangle and wheel spanner for the Rudge knockoffs. A body number stamping is visible on the spare wheel well pan.

The GT4comes to us out of long term storage and currently displays 108,568 kms (67,461 miles). The Ferrari's front mounted V12 consistently reads 175+ psi of compression across the board, in running and driving order, although a complete inspection of all mechanical systems and brake service is recommended prior to road use. Remarkably the underside of the car has really impressed, it is highly original, very solid and nicely detailed.
