1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible
This highly sought-after 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible is just out of a large collection and ready for straightforward recommissioning. Maroon with maroon interior and black soft-top. It's been sitting for several years in storage and is not currently running but is a very honest and straight car. It is missing its inner door panels. Wearing an older restoration, the chrome and paintwork are showing their age at this point but the underside and frame are very solid. The body and panel fit is also quite good. It also has a newer soft-top fabric installed. 1941 was the last full model year before civilian automobile production ended for the duration as Americas manufacturing capacity yielded to the war effort. For that final model year, Cadillac significantly revised and improved their Series 62, an automobile that had only been introduced the year before. The Fisher-bodied 62 for 1941 featured a low, aggressive body that Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell dressed with three chrome strips on the front and rear fenders to complement the massive grille and hood side chrome trim. The 1941 car also featured a panel of louver trim on each side of the hood, headlights built into the fenders and standard rear wheel skirts. Under the hood, Cadillacs 346 cubic inch L-head V-8 made 150 horsepower. Although Cadillac posted huge sales numbers in 1941, including for the Series 62, only a precious 3,100 examples of the two-door Convertible Coupe were produced, making it one of the more desirable classic Cadillacs today. Classy, sporty, and comfortable, an ideal tour car for the many CCCA events for which it is eligible. Don't miss this highly collectible and desirable 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible.
