1953 ASTON MARTIN DB2 SALOON
According to a copy of the original Aston Martin build record, this 1953 DB2 Saloon was ordered new via PX & International Motors by Captain Philip Hamilton of Middlesex, England, a serviceman in the US Air Force. It was delivered to its first owner in March 1953, finished in elegant Moonbeam Grey paint, complemented by red leather with gray piping. First registered as YMM 52, it was later owned by Thomas J. Negri, also in the USAF, followed by J.D. Wolf, a member of the flight interceptor squadron based at Hahn Flugplatz in Hunsrck, Germany. The DB2 was later purchased by Mr. W.B. Styles of Loves Park, Illinois, before being sold to a Wisconsin-based collector with a passion for early Aston Martins. Just out of long-term storage and requiring mechanical attention prior to road use. It is not currently running. This unrestored right-hand-drive Saloon is equipped with a 2.9-litre VB6J-series engine from a later DB2/4 model. Prized by enthusiasts from the outset, this Aston Martin DB2 Saloon stands poised for future glory.
