Ultra Rare 1953 Siata Daina Gran Sport by Stabilimenti Farina
One of less than 50 built and just discovered out of a large estate collection, this ultra rare 1953 Siata Daina Gran Sport by Stabilimenti Farina has gone untouched for decades and is now in need of a well-deserved complete restoration. As you can see, the nose and rear end have gone their separate ways due to the corrosiveness of time.
The lightweight and agile handling of the Dainas made them attractive for competition in both Europe and the United States. The most well known Dainas were the Gran Sport (convertible) versions used in racing, with many calling it the "little Ferrari". The car was built to take part in the International Grand Prix and the Mille Miglia. The Daina's most notable finish was at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1952 when Dick Irish and Bob Fergus piloted a 1,500 cc Daina Gran Sport to first in class and third overall. Given its rarity and eligibility for some of the most popular driving events and concours, this Siata Daina Gran Sport represents an exciting opportunity for the enthusiast looking for a worthy and rewarding restoration project. - Ultra rare find and elegant Italian GT
- Out of a large estate collection
- One of less than 50 built
- Mille Miglia eligible
- Never restored, the ideal original candidate for complete restoration
