1955 Jaguar XK140 MC Drophead Coupe: Matching Numbers with C-Type Head
This 1955 Jaguar XK140 MC DHC just came out of 40 year ownership and is a matching numbers example. Red with black leather interior and factory equipped with its extremely original C-Type performance head. This car is in excellent condition cosmetically but has been sitting for 10 years and needs mechanical recommissioning. It's a very solid rust free car just out of an estate. It also has perfect door-fit which is very hard to find in these cars. This is one of just 1,455 drophead coupes built for 1955. This particular car carries the highly desirable MC designation (known as SE elsewhere) used only in North America; M denotes modified and C refers to the C-type cylinder head. Horsepower is further increased to 210 in the MC version thanks to the C-type head option.
