1961 Ferrari 250GT PF Coupe Series II with Matching Numbers: First Owned by Famed Italian Automobile Designer Carlo Abarth: One of 353 Built
This matching numbers Barn-Find 1961 Ferrari 250GT Pinin Farina Series II Coupe was originally purchased new by famed Italian automobile designer Carlo Abarth in Torino, Italy and was first registered on Italian license plates of Torino "TO 316142". By 1966 the car had been sold and made its way to the United States. Since 1968 it has remained under the same ownership and has been tucked away in a garage since 1971. Now after 51 years of hibernation, the Ferrari has been rolled out and into the light of day. We now not only get to have the pleasure of discovering this car, but also the exciting privilege of finding its next loving caretaker. Chassis 1687 was originally born in attractive and desirable Grigio Conchiglia with black leather. It's currently blue and retains its original black interior. This is the first time the car has come to market in 54 years and as one of just 353 built, it may represent the last opportunity to own an unrestored example. Documented by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini and offered with copies of its Italian registration documents. Today, it remains an honest car with integrity.
