1961 Volkswagen Beetle: The Peoples Car
The Volkswagen Beetle is truly a motoring icon. Launched in 1938 as the Peoples Car it was designed to bring mobility to those of fairly modest means. It remained in production in various guises all over the world for close to sixty years, and during its production life the basic concept remained unaltered although it underwent over 70,000 identifiable modifications. This highly original example runs and drives well with its 4-speed manual gearbox. Light blue with brown interior and offered with its original owners manual. Nice straight body and solid undercarriage. A very honest original driver quality example that could benefit from some very minor cosmetics. The paint is showing its age a bit as are certain areas of the interior. A great little collectible car that's sure to offer nothing but fun and simple ownership. This is a truly delightful little early Beetle which will provide a huge amount of pleasure for its lucky next owner. A superb value.
