This 1964 Mercedes-Benz 300D is a very original car in need of complete restoration. Green with grey interior. Just out of long-term ownership and storage. It's very complete but has rust. The 300 saloon succeeded in marking a return to the marque's tradition of building high-performance luxury automobiles of the finest quality. The 300 featured the 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine also used in the 300SL. A 3-speed automatic transmission was standard on the 330D. Custom built by Mercedes-Benz's most experienced craftsmen, the 300 was luxuriously appointed and trimmed with materials of the highest quality. Fast and elegant, it was one of very few contemporary vehicles capable of carrying six passengers in comfort at sustained high speeds. 'Adenauer' became its unofficial model name, after German Chancellor Dr Konrad Adenauer, its most famous customer. The top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz model and the ideal restoration candidate.
