This incredibly honest and original 1979 Aston Martin Volante convertible is an extremely rare 5 speed car. This car has never been restored and is a very desirable chrome bumper example. It comes with it's manual transmission which is currently out of the car and it's air cleaner as well. This V8 Volante is chassis number 15020, the 20th example built. It was one of the first V8 Volantes in the USA and certainly one of the first manual transmission cars. The car has been off the road since 1987 when it needed a clutch, hence the transmission was taken out. We have the new clutch plate that was never fitted. It was first registered to Aston Martin Lagonda North America and then sold on to Peter Sprague of Lenox, Ma. Peter was at that time one of the principle owners of Aston Martin Ltd.
