The C-Type was a car built by Jaguar based on the XK120. It used the same running gear as the XK120 and was formally known as the XK120-C. The "C" stood for competition, and this car meant it. It had a tubular frame and an all aluminum body making it significantly lighter than the road going car. The engine also received a bump in power from 180 HP to 205 HP making the C-Type a force to be reckoned with on the race track. The C-Type wasn't all show and no go either. It one the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice. Once in 1951 and another in 1953 with legendary Sir Stirling Moss behind the wheel.
