The SS 100 was introduced in 1936 under the Swallow Sidecar Company name. The Swallow Sidecar Company was founded by William Lyons and would later become Jaguar. The SS 100 became the companies first "high performance" model with almost 50 HP more than the SS I. The name came from the supposed top speed of 100 mph but many had a hard time proving this feat straight from the factory. This was the last model mode under the Swallow Sidecar company before it officially became Jaguar.
